I really don’t have to say much that this month has been hectic. If I could I would of scream my lungs out. Anyways, talking about this month. This has been pilling up with the date of publishing the children’s book near the corner. On my YouTube channel, I recently announced the name of the children’s book. Head out to my Spanish channel and check it out.
Work: Changes and more changes. Market distribution, change on the market manager, change of Retail Manager. These changes we are somewhat accustomed to, but in the time it is happening it creates headache and uncertainty until it is all settled. Adjustments will be made. Plus I’m getting a couple of stretch assignments that also helps with getting more to the brain and leaving me exhausted. Not that I’m whining about it, just exhausted from writing later on.
YouTube: It is running really well. Once all these settle I could promote more videos, and see if I get either more views, engagements, and so on. Still, because of it, I’m almost running at the deadline to post the videos on Mondays. My goal is to do two a week so they pile up and have like an off week or a week dedicated just to writing and not editing.
Children’s Book: As I said, the name of the book was announced on my YouTube channel. I won’t leave you hanging with it. The name of the book is Panda: The Magic Dog. It will be in both Spanish and English. Will come out first as an ebook and then on hardcover as we can ask for the test cover and see it looks awesome for you guys.
ROD: Book two is on a hiatus at the moment. Not that is going to be shelved or anything, is just that there is too much on the plate for me to add more. My energy is going to my author’s platform at the moment, the Children’s book and getting it published, and settling things at work. Once I’ve cleared somewhat of my schedule it will continue to grow in words. For example, I estimate once I get to write the climax it will grow easily 10k words. So it will grow exponentially once I sit down to keep writing it.
Comic book: It is on hold as well. The script is written just want to get these things out of my plate as well. Still, we are still heading to have two published things this year and probably two more next year. Some of the art has been shared with me and it looks good. Once it is through the midpoint of the illustration I would feel more confident giving you guys an update on potential publishing dates.
Family: This is one of the reasons writing has slowed down. Because of the pandemic we still have virtual schooling. We are fine with it because we want our daughters to be safe. Moreover, it is a bit of chaos. I have to cancel my days off to assist with the virtual classes. My wife got a new job and she’s required a minimum of two days a week to be physically at the office. So I’m working all the weekends and staying with my daughters on the weekdays and I try to crunch my writing, videos on those days. Besides that, we got a new addition to the family. We adopted a new dog. The girls named him Brownie. So we have another member to take care of.
On another note, we miss a lot of our family members and friends. even though I know people are starting to gather, we want to play it safe. We want to see them well after this pandemic is over. And, yes you can say that that part causes a bit of anxiety. Our phone calls have risen, text messages and so on, but we miss a lot our family.
So yeah, I got a lot of things at the moment. Hopefully, soon I can back with the wheel rolling and progress with all the projects that are going slow, but still, we are on a good pace to publish two brand new stories, so stay tuned.
